Posted by Eric The Robot on 02.14.2010I've started a new music project that will involve online collaboration with some of my favorite musical and visual artists around the globe. The focus will be more of an electronic, heavier production, less guitar, soundtrackish feel. There are a few songs popping up around the internets, you can visit Paper Stairs profile on thesixtyone.com.

Under The Covers - Melody Meets Me
Posted by Eric The Robot on 02.01.2010As a general rule, I don't like recording covers, or singing songs that others write for that matter. But I bended my own rules recently and recorded 3 covers (with 3 more coming soon) and it's actually helped me get off this musical plane I've been stuck on lately. I chose the songs below by simply opening Pandora.com 3 times and picked the first song I heard. The three songs are listed below. I think I'll do the same for the next three songs, however I'll choose a different playlist next time.
1.) Radio - Alkaline Trio
2.) Breathing - Yellow Card
1.) Chick Magnet - MXPX

New Videos!!
Posted by Eric The Robot on 01.18.2010I've always been interested in film, I especially enjoy editing it. I am not that great at shooting it, this of course would require me to leave my apartment. Leaving my apartment is scary, just kidding. So today I made 4 music videos to some of my most recent songs. I used old black and white stock footage I found online and chopped it up to fit the songs. It's not the greatest quality, but it adds another layer to the music in my opinion, see for yourself.
Melody Meets Me on iSound.com
Posted by Eric The Robot on 01.15.2010I've been using iSound.com for awhile now, and they treat me REALLY good. They've featured me several times, which is super spectacular. Lately I've been beginning to think that their staff has died, they haven't updated the site in almost 2 months. Which for me is NOT a complaint, seeing as though I'm on the home page still. The streaming quality is better than myspace, so I like using isound mainly for that reason. You can download the songs that say "download" next to them. There are over 8 hours worth of music on the playlist below, 100 songs to be exact. Enjoy!
Happy Holidays! Here, Have Four New Songs!
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.25.2009I went home and visited my family and celebrated Christmas a week early. It was spectacular to see my family in the midwest. It was over a year since I've last seen them. Anyway, after finally getting back to New York, I've felt a little out of practice with music. It's amazing how five solid days of not playing music can effect my performance and coordination. Perhaps a break was just what I needed though. Below are four recordings that I made on Christmas December 25th, 2009. They are a little raw...but isn't everything I record? - I hope you enjoy the tracks and I REALLY hope you have a wonderfully safe holiday!
1.) Storyteller
2.) Cessna 310
3.) If I Was A Punk Id Hate Everything
4.) You're Fine
Even Nothing Has Everything - Another Made Up Song
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.07.2009I've been up since 6 OHHH clock this morning to work on another web site,
and I just remembered that I recorded another acoustic song last night and
thought GEEEE, it's so close to the holidays so I better start giving gifts
out. So to show my appreciation towards anyone who listens, here is a song
without a purpose... a song about nothing. But remember, even if you have
NOTHING, you still have EVERYTHING...at least I think so. Stay warm and happy!

Two Acoustic Songs For The Taking...So Take Them!
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.06.2009I made a couple new acoustic songs on this super Sunday and they go a little
something like this... well never mind, you can listen for yourself since
I do believe I've already forgotten the words - ZOIKS! The songs were written
in under a few minutes and they were recorded with two passes each. One take
playing guitar and singing, then a second take for the lead acoustic guitar
which was panned over to the left. The tracks are raw and dirty, they will
compliment your nightly routine before you sleep. Enjoy and PLEASE, PLEASE,
PLEASE spread them around the intertubers!

Members Wanted
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.06.2009I've spent the last eight months searching Craigslist in New York for musicians who want to collaborate on song writing, recording, producing, etc. My search in NY has been exhausting, am I too picky? I think not. Perhaps I am destined to continue as a solo artist? I believe that's rubbish. A majority of musician responses request compensation, which is understandable for a full-time musician. Many other responders suggest they'd like to drop acid and change the music into something else...expand your mind man!!! Then, let me remind you that there have been a few people who'd like to turn the project into an opera show...I do live so close to Broadway but really? come on! NY has such wonderful talent, which also means that most musicians jump from one band to another. Anyway, I'm frustrated with searching on Craigslist, so I've decided to post what I'm looking for here. If you're interested in collaborating, or know someone who would make a great fit, please send them to me. Thanks for reading, enjoy your Sunday.
New Site Launched Today!
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.05.2009It's been a long time since there was an actual web site for Melody Meets Me and now finally there is. So here it is, quick and dirty but done right. I started on the site at 7am and finished by 5pm. Clearly I am quick, (tooting my horn) but am I accurate? You be the judge, if you see any bugs, spelling, or grammatically incorrect errors, or anything broken, please let me know a.s.a.p. Thanks for visiting!!
Adding Lyrics to 200 Songs Is For The Birds...
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.05.2009I've wanted to post lyrics to my songs for a long long time and I've started today with the new site. Unfortunately this task is not fun what so ever; it requires me to listen to all of the songs that I would rather not hear any more, I'm not saying I don't like them, it's just that they bring up some memories that would be better off silenced. If any one wants to help out, my words are pretty easy to understand, there is clarity, and I generally use common every day words...anyway, if you're interested in helping, please contact me. If you'd rather just read them, please to so here.
Follow Melody Meets Me on Twitter
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.05.2009The Melody Meets Me Twitter account was suspended for about 6 months due to suspicious behavior...hmmm...I wonder what I did. Anyway, it's back up now as of yesterday and I REALLY think you should follow me so you can get my latest songs instantly.
Released "Time Moves Faster As You Get Closer" To The Internets...
Posted by Eric The Robot on 12.04.2009You can listen to the song here or listen to many other songs here.
